Grand Rapids, OH #53 in the 60 paintings for 60 days for $60...

There is something really peaceful about being by a body of water and painting. Just listening to the birds sing and the water gently moving by as it swirls around the multitude of large boulders that create it a meandering path to follow.

Serenity Reflected and Red Mountain Majesty, #24 and #25 in 60/60 for $60

Quite the struggle trying to get caught up! There are so many paintings dancing in my head that I am dizzy! Not sure which to create first!

I am planning a few large, detailed paintings, but feel I must complete these 60 in 60 for $60 first...these two are just really special aintings to me, as they evoke a real emotional response as I travel back in time to the moment I was standing in that very spot! The west is so full of eye candy for the artist and nature-lover.

Huckleberry picking

Wanda and I after climbing down from the mountainside with our huckleberries! Slim pickins' due to late in the season and being the bear's favorite snack! Since Wanda and Les disappeared to the top of the mountain with the bear spray, I am grateful none showed up.........

Saturday the sun was shining and making for a perfect day on the lake in the boat with fellow artists...including ret. Vice Admiral of the US fleets,  Roger Bacon....

Along the way we were rewarded with a visit from an eagle in the treetop..........

We also crossed the Canadian border; marked with a fence on Lake Koocanusa...

Nothing like finishing off the day with these margaritas.....

Thanks, Les...........Cheers!
