I am not a marathon painter by any means! I am exhausted after such a long day today; getting up before sunrise is not my usual plan. On the bright side, I did accomplish to paint quite a bit today.

Soulful Eyes...

Waking up well before dawn today, ( a big deal for me the night-owl), I headed to the studio. After a cup of coffee I gave caution to the wind of what was on the 'must do' agenda and allowed myself a little learning and some fun, too.

 This is not included in the 60 in 60 for $60, as  this photo is from one of my friends on Facebook and have now forgotten who it was....so it was a 'just fun' experience.....

#33 Lands of Ohio.....disappearing Barns....60 paintings in 60 days for $60

I am truly a country girl at heart! Where you have room to spread your wings and breathe....

So I just knew I had to capture the red barns that are quickly disappearing! Our great-grandchildren will only know of them as something from the past; progress, so they say. I could live in a barn, with a few modifications and updates. I even know a couple of artists that actually do.

Grab it while you can...they are disappearing quickly!!!

#32 Lesson from Monet in 60 in 60 for $60

Being a traditional painter leaning towards realism, it was a real stretch for me to do one after Monet; esp. in his later years when he lathered on  paint in spots of flowers and swirled them around! This is how we learn. What a great time trying to figure out his process and feeling just a little more connected after doing this detail work from one of his very large water lily series.

#31.......Hung Over.........

Whew! Almost caught up....

Had fun creating this one tonight with a certain someone in mind. A dear friend had a field of sunflowers  this year and invited me over to take photos of my granddaughter among them. It was a gorgeous sunny day, so I got some great reference photos for painting, too...
